If you give out your e-mail address online, the greatest risk you face is "SPAM" (unsolicited commercial e-mail). It's annoying and in some instances it can actually disable your e-mail account through sheer volume. This happens largely because some web sites will sell your address to companies which compile mailing lists. Some sites can get pretty annoying just using their own promotions. Why miss out on all the free newsletters, online games, freeware, and other experiences which the Internet offers? (It's fun to be a scavenger!) This is where Sneakemail comes in. Using their disposable e-mail addresses which automatically forward to your primary account, you can have perfect control over your mail box. You label each disposable address. The recipient never sees the label, but you do. So guess what? You know exactly where the spam comes from and if you want, you can simply delete the address. Or, it's also possible to filter the address so that only mail from the domain you signed up with will reach you. It might sound a little complicated or tedious. That was MY first reaction. It isn't that bad at all. Actually kind of fun to use. ![]() |
