I love wasting my time doing frivolous things on my computer both on and offline. I love video games, but I am very picky about what I play. Most action games are too much of a challenge to my middle-aged reflexes. Even most of the versions of Tetris get too fast too quickly. I like game sites with a good variety. Sometimes I like games which are complete no-brainers and sometimes not. Sometimes I even like to play against
real-people opponents. We all have our moods and preferences when we waste time. It's probably the variety and the opportunity for interaction which contribute to my playing online as opposed to off. I've found several sites I would recommend, but I'm always looking for one which provides additional incentive. Such as a way to make a little bit of money.
My newest find is Pogo.com. One can earn tokens playing the games. These may be cashed in at any time for their daily, weekly, and monthly lotto drawings. They will notify you of the results of each drawing by e-mail (optional). The game selection is very good and the play quality is excellent. The selection includes most of the classic card and board games, word games, puzzle games, gambling games (free),
action, and trivia. In addition, Most of the games have a chat feature so one can converse with the other players. Some players use it. Most don't. I must say that the level of discourse is not of the highest caliber, but then, it's hard to play the slot machines and type at the same time. One does have the option to "mute" offensive people, and even to report them using a convenient button shaped like a whistle.
It is of course quite possible to waste one's time on this site for a very long time without winning anything at all. But, it's free due to being advertiser supported (brief intermissions). I enrolled here about a year ago using a Sneakemail address and have received no spam to date.
To summarize: They offer the stuff that dreams are made of.
